The beginning and ending was good, the middle was so dragged out and boring. I enjoyed the emphasis on femininity and woman/motherhood in this Ariadne story. I am glad it ended with Perseus over her taking her own life like the other popular legend.

I liked the story overall, but found it difficult to read continuously like I do most books, likely because it’s quite sad.
