The opening chapter was certainly interesting, but I don’t want to pursue this “world” right now.

Unfortunately it turns out I don't have patience for characters who both are interested in each other and simply won't communicate! Lol the characters themselves are well-written and (like most of T Kingfisher's books) it's very funny, I just can't stand the stubbornness and pining

This book has everything. Slow burn romance. Charming, albeit incredibly self deprecating to the point of violent eye rolling, characters. Perfume. Poison. Severed heads.

I look forward to other books in the series and, while I did like Grace and Stephen, I can't say I'm disappointed that they won't be in the next books. Happy to leave them to their boring, tender love making while they both exclaim how unworthy they are of each other.

Loved this, laughed out loud multiple times, these characters are GREAT, I loved the audhd representation ❤️ I found the insecurities and overthinking not annoying but very relatable and I simply love Grace with all of my heart
