2.5 stars. Some behind the scenes stories were mildly interesting- the coat, Melania being asleep on election night, but otherwise nothing earth-shattering. A sometimes useful reflection how a person can get sucked into others' narcissism.

Easily readable but with terrible writing, much like a gossip magazine is easily readable. The Schadenfreude is strong with this book. I couldn’t stop turning the pages like drivers can’t help their rubbernecking when they drive by an accident on the highway.

About what I expected: a lickspittle Republican PR flack justifying her years spent with the Trump White House. At the end, after the Trumps throw her under the bus, Grisham joins the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party and tells us she had no idea that the leopards would eat her face.

Got it from the library so no money spent on it.

Interesting perspective with lots of inside info about the Trump presidency from someone who saw it up close from the campaign trail until the bitter end. She seemed honest, but a lot of it seemed like tabloid fodder or a reality show recap, not the book of a senior White House staffer.

The author seems genuine, and she acknowledges her complicity in Trump's corruption and moral bankruptcy, but she only left after the Trump train had already derailed. As she says in the epilogue, most will agree that it's "too little, too late", and I'm definitely in that camp.
