I read somewhere that this book spoke a lot about Swedish politics but since I have no knowledge about it, I took it as a realistic book with fantasy elements. Because the fantasy elements were definitely not the most important thing and I really liked that.

Book #73 of the EBN Challenge at my Library.
Challenge Topic: A book by a Scandinavian author or set in Scandinavia.

When I first started this book I wasn't too sure about it, but as I got into it a little and all the characters were introduced I just had to know how the story played out. The author did a great job of twisting the story and keepin it interesting for me at least.

There are characters that you start off thinking you will love or feel sorry for and then end up not liking at all. Then there are the characters that you start off not really liking and realizing they are well developed and likable.
