I chose this book for the “Read a book with a four-word title” prompt on the SBC Summer Reading Bingo card. I’ve been wanting to read more by this author since finishing Reconstructing Amelia, so it seemed like a good time to jump in with Like Mother, Like Daughter.
This is a fast-paced, suspenseful mystery about a college student and her missing mom, a successful corporate lawyer.  Told in alternating POVs and multiple timeframes, the character development is strong and captures the struggles of being a parent and a coed. I liked the use of storytelling through text messages, emails, legal documents, news articles and therapy session records.
I highly recommend!

I can't put my finger on it, but I just did not enjoy this book. The characters were unlikeable and pretentious. I felt like there were too many plot points and minor characters that didn't seem to fully connect to the story. I spent most of the book confused about what was going on, and not because it's supposed to be a mystery...so many different people and events were seemingly thrown into the story. The ending felt rushed and clipped.
