Such an incredibly written story, the audiobook was amazingly well-narrated with multiple narrators. It definitely reminded me of the Daisy Jones and the Six audiobook, but make it figure skating. I really enjoyed the way Layne Fargo told this story, loved the interviews that were included. I enjoyed how the reality of relationships between partners and competitors was really dissected in this book. The characters can definitely be unlikable at times but that’s intentional. It truly is a deep character study on these two characters and everyone around them. This reminded me of the show, Spinning Out, which I love. There’s a lot of deeper topics discussed but I think Layne Fargo did an excellent job. Overall, a great book and I highly recommend!

The format of this story was really interesting. Not only are you moved through the story with the main characters, but you have chapters focused purely from the judges and professional commentators as well. It gives the main story another layer.

Kat and Heath’s story is mostly predictable but isdoes have a number of twists and turns which is needed.

Really enjoyed it though.
