Great illustrations and fun to read aloud to my daughter. She can't read the whole thing on her own yet but this book generates enough interest that she'll be reading it on her own in no time.

Cute book, but minus a star for EGREGIOUS MISUSE OF A PIANO. (I wanted to cry!)
The illustrations were great - Magnolia is very expressive, and a lot of the pictures (especially involving seagulls) had me giggling at my desk.
But really... don't take a piano to the beach.

Darling Magnolia is at it again - this time adopting a seafaring scallywag and trying to reform him before making it to the front of the line for the mall Santa.
