This took insta-love to a whole new, very extreme level. There's a scene where one of the MLs is all cold and icy and literally the next second, he's in love and whisking the MC off for sex. Also, these guys have been in an established relationship with each other (for years!!!!!) and somehow they're all onboard with a fourth permanent person because ... mates? Literally what the fuck. Not to mention both the kids seem to mom-bond with the MC after two seconds despite having what one might assume would be some trauma over the fact that their bio-mom abandoned them for money.

That bit about how Glory is curvy but works to not be chunky is supposed to be positive fat rep??? Fuck you, what does 'chunky' even mean and if it means what I think it does, are ~chunky~ women automatically unattractive to a lead who goes on tirades about why fat shaming is bad?? Also if Marilyn Monroe is who she's comparing herself to, she isn't fat or overweight, she just has some non-linear body shape and the fact that I had to sit through fucking overdramatic PAGES of her being very blatantly and disgustingly fat shamed has me FUMING. IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS MARILYN MONROE FAT REP???

This is making it sound like the book made me legitimately angry but honestly I was just 'WTF am I reading'-ing all over the place. This would've been fine if it was just about the guys and their two kids. Please just give me a book about Nolan, Carter and Louis being together and raising Aria and Zoe with love and sweets, good God leave Glory out of it. (If she'd been written better, I would've admired the way she took on the kidnappers and how she handled things towards the end of the book, keeping the girls safe and everything, but as it stands, I felt like that was just the bare minimum she could have done. Which is probably unfair to her but I really didn't like her.)

Ugh I made it only a few pages on before the FMC of this book made me cringe so hard I couldn’t take anymore. She comes across as the most brash, pushy, obnoxious Karen I have ever read and the people around her are completely ridiculous caricatures of actual humans. “Stick skinny” women are portrayed as judge mental and catty and tactless and it was just TOO MUCH (and I am not a skinny person)

How can I read a romance about a character that I find repulsive after only a few pages?
