This book started slow and took me a while to get into (I can usually churn through a Warriors book in less than a week, this one took me almost a month as a result), but once the pace picked up, this book was really good. I'd say the Battle referred to in the title has some of the most solid, poetic writing seen in the series which has made me invested into this arc after a long time of umming and arring about it.

wHAT was that ending??? I’m disappointed, they could have handled that so much better. It was still a lot of fun though! I really enjoy reading about Clear Sky, and I’m glad we get Clear Sky’s POV in this book. The Tom situation is a total retcon. I vividly remember when Turtle Tail came back in the second book
Gray Wing asked if Tom had hurt her and she said no, he just didn’t tell her that the twolegs would take her kits away
. The ending made me mad, but the fun kind of mad. :)
River Ripple is still my favorite character. His mere presence transforms the vibe of every scene he’s in, I love him.

The book was fine, so far is it my favorite in this arc, bur I haven't read the last 3 so that might change.

SPOILERS
I was so satisfied and happy when Clear Sky finally got humbeled at the end, that should had happened a lot sooner, especially by Storm. I do feel like they are way to easy on him. I do not care or sympathises why he did those things, he hurt others and they had to pay with their life because of him.
