I actually really liked this book, it had a lot of fast paced scenes and there was a lot going on. Also it had me in my feels for like 80% of the book like damnnnn. My only problem was that some of the dialogue was a bit repetitive, like the word greedy and greed was repeated a countless number of times. Honestly though that’s just a small small criticism and I overall really enjoyed this book!

I'm one of those people who love a good backstory. This installment of Warrors: Dawn of the Clans is the juiciest bit of backstory to date. Anyone who's read and been disappointed in the lack of Warriors-esque culture and feel up until this point, rest assured that this novel is the turn toward what we've been looking for.

A definite departure from the last two books, better in both plot and character. It did lose a star for killing another she-cat, with no other purpose that to make a tom sad and give him new purpose. It's a boring move the erins use much too often, so i was pretty numb to that.
Otherwise, the final scene was impactful, and im bracing to know how the five leaders become stars, since it's been clear since the second book who they will be.

Thunder ends up being the first leader of ThunderClan, I think Wind Runner ends up being the leader of WindClan, and River Ripple ends up eventually as the first leader of WindClan. But there's no cat named Shadow yet, so there's no cat that ends up the leader of ShadowClan.

So many deaths....

I jus realized something! We just saw (read) StarClan being formed. Right?! And the reason of the full moon truce and Gatherings! Next time when they meet, I wonder what the spirit cats say? They can't have come up with the warrior code yet; there no cat to lead ShadowClan! And there's still only two groups!

The whole book is about fighting, like avoid the fight but still prepare it and finally fighting. The fighting scene is the most bloody battle of the entire series imo. Jackdaw’s Cry and Falling Feather killing each other was so painful to read. And when Clear Sky killed Rainswept Flower, we can really see how much he lose his mind.
The fight between the two brothers was intense and I loved what Grey Wing said to Clear Sky. And the ending scene was great too !
