very sweet. I haven’t read any of the rest of this series so, like always, there was way too much of the side characters and references to their own stories where I would’ve preferred more focus on our main characters, but that’s how these always go, so fair enough. I’m glad there was no big drama or tumultuous/contentious thing keeping them apart; this relationship felt like two real people actually sorting out how to make things work as their feelings change. I didn’t even mind the nicknames.

Yet another cute little cozy book! How I have loved this series. I love how BK Borison has different types of people with different types of challenges in each book, which makes it feel so new every time and I also feel like offers opportunities for the reader to be able to relate more with the characters. Overall, love :))) this series has brought me so much joy!!
Gotta say, by this last book I was getting a little tired of the everyone living in a happy tiny but progressive town…but maybe that’s just because I live in America in 2025 and I’m cynical. Also, all the townsfolk need to learn some boundaries and need to butt out of each other’s lives a little bit. The lack of privacy or discretion in the town in this book gives me anxiety lol. But overall so cute and cozy!!

I think this book healed me in some ways. Charlie struggles with many of the same things I do. And Nova’s conversation with Beckett about failure? So. Good.

Easily the best book in the series! I’ve been looking forward to Nova and Charlie’s story since they were introduced, but this one was hotter than I imagined! Truly, the perfect send off to Lovelight and the whole town of Inglewild!
Charlie was beautifully written, the perfect golden retriever boyfriend just looking for a place to belong. His ADHD was really well handled, too, and I saw a lot of myself in the ways he managed his symptoms. Charlie’s ongoing flirtation with Nova was so fun, but the friendship underneath it was what made their relationship shine. There was so much playfulness and trust in their interactions, which translated beautifully to the sexy scenes, where you see that same push and pull find new outlets.
Nova was also a force to be reckoned with. She’s so obviously hot—she’s a tattoo artist that loves plants, that’s basically bisexual catnip—but it’s her deep loyalty to her family and her hometown that really made her memorable. She represents those deep roots Charlie’s always wanted, and he’s the one person that shines a little too brightly that you’d never expect him to stay. In short— they’re perfect for each other.
I’ll be so sad to say goodbye to Inglewild, but I’m happy that Business Casual gave me one more chance to enjoy see all the kooky people that made this little fictional town so lovable. Everyone returns for one last hurrah (and a wedding!), but especially the last three couples that run Lovelight Farms. And even though they don’t share equivalent page time, it’s wonderful to see their happily ever afters play out.
Overall, this was the perfect spicy small town romance I was hoping for from this series. With an autumnal setting and familiar faces, it was the perfect farewell to a beloved romance series. I highly recommend!

B.K. Borison really saved the best for last in the Lovelight series
