This was by far my favourite of the series. Charlie would pop in here and there throughout the other books and I always enjoyed his character. Now that he is fully fledged out, I’m down bad for him.
I just loved this pairing so much. And sometimes two people who get in their own way can be annoying, but this one worked perfectly. There was a push and pull to both Nova and Charlie that really pulled me under.
It gets the five star stamp of approval because I finished and immediately wanted to go back and read parts of it.
Overall, this series is truly just a warm hug. It is so sweet and light. It makes you feel so cozy.
Highly recommend taking a trip to lovelight.

Enjoyable romance with quite a bit of spice. The characters were mostly likeable - a few of them were somewhat one dimensional for much of the book. Cute story in a Gilmour Girls-eque town full of quirky characters who all know each other's business!

The upside of this: I almost organized a celebration when I received an early copy of this book (the amount of texts that I exchanged with my friends in FULL CAPS was not normal)… The downside after reading it was the challenge to make justice to one of my favorite romance reads of the year with only (but not limited to) words.
Let’s focus on 5 elements I loved about this story:
-Two main characters that are quite different but are somehow intrigued about each other
-Funny moments, thoughtful moments, moments of questioning what is right and who we are and how we deal with family and co workers and where are the lines between those two.
-Interactions with other characters and small gestures in daily life (I really appreciate when authors remember to include little moments of daily life, like work related scenes, since we spend so much of our awake time living through those)
-ALL.THE.TENSION.
-Small town setting, which is frankly not always my favorite in stories, but very well done here with quirks and a range of personalities
Lastly, it’s difficult to put into words how much I connected with Charlie inner turmoil. It made a big impact on me. I loved his generosity, but also his flaws.
I am now proceeding to have a reread of my paperback and add this book to the “comfort readings”… will also probably give a try to the audio, just to see how it sounds
