I hate starting these books because I never want them to end. They are just happy little pages of joy and love and I never want to leave. They are always quick reads though and perfect for re-reads. When I found this series I thought it would be a one-off thing where I tried something new. Little did I know I would find the sweetest and coziest romances with such an emotional impact. Tears fell out of my eyes! TEARS! I felt emotions and I loved it. Oaken’s story may be my favorite as his true love is Jaya who is fellow brown queen. Sri Lankan in distant ancestry and living in a spaceship given to her by her Aunty Anjali we find Jaya. Jaya has a tiny robot spider friend who is sassy and motherly and I love her. Oaken offers Jaya a marriage of convenience so she can stay on the planet long enough to fix her crashed ship. A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE with a muscly himbo who adores Jaya and knits her socks. It’s everything I want when the world is hard. Sweet adoration and a pink baby goat like creature. I absolutely love this series.
