 My Thoughts 4.25/5⭐️

What could possibly go wrong when Clay, the hot shot football player, and Giana, the teams geeky PR coordinator, team up in hopes of making his ex jealous and her catch the eye of the sexy musician...

This was such a fun fake dating/college sports romance and I had a great time reading it! The pacing was perfect for me and there really were no moments where I felt it dragging. It is also dual POV, something I love in romance books.

I loved both Clay and Giana, but I think Giana wins out as my favourite primarily because of how much I saw myself in her and could so easily relate. She was shy, but had so much passion and drive it made her very strong in my opinion. Plus she is a book lover, so how could I not love her! But I will say Clay tapped into my emotions more, he was incredibly sweet and loyal (almost to a fault), and I wanted so badly for him to realize he deserved to be happy too. Oh and did I mention he reads her romance books to learn what she likes 👀

The plot was very predictable with no real shocks or surprises, but didn't hinder my enjoyment of the book.

I went into this not realizing there was a book set before this one, so if you don't want to make the same mistake as me I'd suggest reading Fair Catch first as you do get glimpses of the couple from that book in this one.

Overall I really enjoyed this book, and will definitely be going back to read Riley and Zeke's story! Plus I can't wait to read Holden's story as he already caught my attention in this book.

Format: Ebook📱

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25

Who would like this? Any fans of a good fake dating story line or fans of college/sports romance.

Okay Kandi Steiner, I SEE YOU!!

Blind Side is swoony, angsty & sexy, yet still gives the reader some emotional depth with complicated familial relationships. A male love interest that reads his fake girlfriends smutty books to find out what scenes she tabbed/annotated, to then reenact what was learned by utilizing said skills in their tension filled s*xu@l relationship?? I'm a goner.

I didn't completely love the final act/grand gesture, but it was still pretty sweet. I did like that fellow teammates helped Clay come to his senses.

Either way, I'm glad to have read this and wouldn't mind buying a physical copy to tab & annotate myself in case my husband decides to browse through my highlights and notes (aka forcefully suggest for him to read my favorite spicy scene that made me say purrrr) Thank you for that loll.

I cannot wait to read Kandi Steiner's backlist and I am looking forward to Holden's book next!
