Absolutely stunning etchings. Each page is a work of art worth lingering over. No words or dialogue. Just gorgeous images telling an oddly adorable yet deeply morbid story. Somehow feels perfect for this moment in time.

Hermoso libro. No sólo por el arte tan detallado y elaborado, sino por una historia tan bien contada sin usar palabras, y un mensaje oscuro y melancólico sensacional.

Short and sweet (?). I didn't expect the end but I'm glad it went in that direction, it was funnier like that. The art is gorgeous, fits the story well and really adds to the tone.

48 pages/3 minutes long. Beautiful, beautiful illustration. As for the story... on the one hand, it’s maybe for some a little too evocative of the current world situation. On the other hand, there’s something stated but not overtly said, about everything being an equally important part of the process... even in the ghastly stuff, that somehow lightens me for a moment. One to own and revisit often.

I'm a big Edward Gorey fan and this felt like a fitting tribute. Thr scratchboard etchings, rich with blacks and the ethereal white on black lines sometimes having a ghostly quality, complemented the story well. The story was fun with an eerily fitting ending. Fantastic job emulating Grey's illustration style while keeping it just a bit different.

Notes on a Case of Melancholia or A Little Death is just a perfect little gem. The art is a wonderful love letter to the late Edward Gorey. What a treat.
