Both of the main characters felt super relatable. They each deal with their emotions and anxieties in different ways, and it’s adorable to see how they figure each other out throughout the course of the story. Maybell and Wesley each have their own insecurities, and they support and affirm each other.
For those of you looking for a dark brooding confident book boyfriend, this is not the story for you. Wesley is so so sweet. Super consensual. All that good stuff. My heart imploded.

Cute concept but I didn't really like the execution. Firstly, the time span is really weird in the book. When Maybell first arrives at the house Wesley doesn't want to let her sleep in it because it's too dangerous. But somehow they are able to not only clean it but also renovate it within months? Idk, and with what money?
And the plane incident near the end was also stupid and forced.

I like my FMCs to be rambling and working towards self improvement but damn maybell stop daydreaming for a second here can you?
