Sunday daydream, relatable, delightful implausibility
Picked it up as a random, last minute choice at the library, so I didn't have very high hopes going in. Part of what drew me to it was seeing my boyfriend's name as the love interest, obvi my dream guy.
Found myself relating an unexpected amount to the MC and her tendency to fantastically daydream romantic scenarios. Also love a I-hate-everyone-but-you trope that we eventually get to see.
A little bit of cringe here and there, timeline was wayyyy too fast for my taste, and as I mentioned it's plenty unrealistic, but I liked it anyhow. Definitely feels like a comfort read, and who said I could only enjoy literary masterpieces anyways??

I really don’t like panning books, but this seemed to go beyond “not right for me” to “this is actively bad.” But a lot of people seem to like it, so …. <shrugs>

it was just fine! i didn’t feel a super strong attachment to the characters and didn’t feel like their romantic development happened in a compelling way. i also just don’t like the ~anxious man who is mean to hide his anxiety~ thing like dude go to therapy and stop being a dick to people
