At first I had a hard time getting into this novel (as I tend to be a little too realistic and this swims in fairy tale lands but then dries off rather quickly in reality), but I loved the way Backman weaves all of the characters together, partially through Elsa's mission and partially through Granny's story. Part of me wants a prequel as I imagine Granny's story is book-worthy itself but maybe the skeleton of what the reader knows by the end is enough to entice but not destroy the mystery.

Nee, was schön!
