Going with publishing order, I read the Kill Joy prequel novella last and I think that way it worked best for me. There’s quite a few characters and all of them have a second name in here (as they’re playing characters in a murder game) and I think I would have had a really hard time remembering who’s who, had I not just read the other books. The story itself was enjoyable and it was nice seeing where it all started for Pip.
