I laughed, I cried, listened to a lot of Christian Kuria. It’s a perfect read.

I was not ready. I loved this book - what a sweet story. Can't wait to dive into the rest of T.J. Klune's work

Felt like it was exactly on brand which was delightful, but left no room for surprises ~ nice comfort read

This was a DNF for me and I am so sad about it! I absolutely loved on the cerulean sea and had such high expectations for this one which I think is why I was disappointed. I just couldn't get into the story or connect with the characters. I still love TJ Klune though and I am excited for his new book to come out.

I am DNF'ing this at 45%, Chapter 12.

I swear, this has NOT been my year as far as books go. Maybe I'm just less tolerant of books that don't bring me joy, so that's why my DNF pile is so big this year, but I did not feel the need to waste any more of my time on Mr. Wallace Price.

I really tried with this book, but I just couldn't get into it. I usually love life-after-death fiction, but Wallace is such an unlikable character and the moments of clarity and redemption he experienced seemed forced and unnatural for the character.

There were some laugh-out-loud parts, mainly because of Nelson, who is awesome, but even he wasn't enough to carry this story. The characters felt hollow, and I spent a lot of time confused as to what the point of it all was. The Tea Shop, the Reaper, the Ferryman, why Wallace was the only ghost in the place for so long (aside from Nelson and Apollo), none of it made much sense to me, and I didn't care enough to find out the why of it all.

In the end, I decided to let this go. I have too many other books that need to be read, so this will receive no more of my time.

I have received an ARC by NetGalley and am ridiculously and incredibly grateful. I have no words! My heart is broken in the most beautiful way

A forever five star read for me. I just want to hug all the characters so tightly and join them for three cups of tea, minimum. Happy to have reread this. Happy to still adore it. I LOL’d so hard at one point, which is so rare for me, especially in an otherwise emotional story. So very good.
