This book wasn't spectacular; neither do I think it was as evil nor as controversial as many people think. There are some helpful suggestions in here, when tempered with some common sense and parental intuition.

Eat, play, sleep. That’s all you need to know from this book. I’ve saved you from having to read it.

I learned a lot being a new mom...one was all things in moderation. Read this...use the ideas, but don't make it your bible. I believe a flexible routine is the key--Ezzo actually says that too, but it's easy to get legalistic about his plan.

This book started off by making me feel like a bad mum, up until the point they used some dodgey stats to imply their methods prevent ADHD and make kids smarter. Yeah... sure. The comments on marriage had my heckles up, but I had written that off as outdated and meaning to refer to healthy coparenting relationships, in any form. Thats not what they meant. They are just massive A-holes. Don't let two dudes with some serious agendas tell you how to raise you kids. The way they present stats in this book is just plain wrong. If you do read this book, remember that Marisa and Charlotte (or whatever their names were) are not real babies, and their stories are not real. It's hard to know what in this book is worth listening to because it is so full of complete garbage. Try feeding you baby first thing when they wake up so that they have the energy for a good feed - that is all I am going to take away from this book.

We used this method after it was recommended to us and we had all three of our kids sleeping through the night, happy and healthy before three months. I have lent this book out to countless friends and family members.

I think this book has really great information. I feel like it was a little redundant but at the same time had so much info that I need to reread it so I can take better notes in the margins to know what I’m looking for and where to find it. We’ll see if we can figure it out once baby comes and hopefully we’ll all be sleeping a lot better/sooner than we did with our first baby.

I started reading this while pregnant because two moms had raved about it. It seemed too strict for a newborn, so I put it down. I picked it up again this week since my almost 5 month old hasn't been sleeping well and I dislike it even more now. After becoming a mom and then reading this drivel, I wish I had a hard copy to physically throw it in the trash. Deleting it off of my iPad does not seem forceful enough. The whole book basically says that if you don't follow their method, you are a bad parent who does not love their child. Ugh. I do not have words for how frustrated this book makes me. Please read AAP guidelines before thinking about following any methods in this horrible book.
