First of all - there are good ideas, you just HAVE to take them with a grain of salt. And do what works for you and your baby. This worked for us for...maybe 2 weeks. Then we just went with the flow and did what worked for us. And you know what? We're all fine! Still, the updated version of this book isn't as psycho as people make it out to be, he always says if your baby's hungry, feed him. Like I said, take what you want from it, then do what works for you. Every baby's different.
Oh, and I could do without the marriage advice. Cause, really.

A friend bought this for me when she found out I was pregnant and said it worked wonders for her son. I just finished it and skimmed the end when it got more into specifics about what to look for in the first few weeks. Definitely will use it as a reference once baby is here.
A super informative book for new parents who are trying to figure out how to merge their life with a new baby’s needs. There is a middle ground with this parent directed feeding method! I’m glad we waited to listen to this audiobook until our son was 2 weeks old so that we could just enjoy him without trying to be too rigid about finding a routine. Now that’s he’s at the 2-3 week mark we definitely appreciate all that we learned from this book. We are already seeing him respond well to this feeding style and as parents we feel like we are doing something right!
This book is slow to get to the heart of the matter but the advice it finally offers is straightforward and effective (thus far) for getting your baby to sleep at night. Beware that this book - like most parenting books - is super judgey and it craps all over other theories (specifically Attachment Parenting). I think every parent should read all sorts of literature and cull ideas from all camps to determine what is best for them and their child(ren).
This book isn't the magic bullet that I was told it was for other parents I know, but it does have helpful tips.
This book is a zealot-inspired license to abuse and torment your children. Shady authors espouse dangerous practices that have even caused deaths in California (and probably elsewhere, by now.) Every copy should be burned.
