Will update rating depending on whether this was effective with my newborn.

This didn't work at all for me. My baby was exclusively breasted and trying to "schedule" breast feeding with an infant with reflux and a dairy allergy is impossible. She ended up sleeping through the night anyway because babies know what to do by instinct. If you're planning on exclusively breast feeding, skip this book

I'm surprised at the bad reviews. I wish I read this book the week Noah was born! A quick read and easy to implement and understand and see results!! I think this will help us tremendously!

This is a rather extreme book. However, as a first time mom with zero baby experience, I did find it helpful. I happened to be reading another baby book at the same time that went to the opposite extreme and between the two I was able to come to some conclusions that I thought were reasonable. My baby has been a great sleeper and I believe it is due to the fact that he responds well to schedules. Whether or not this is true of all babies as this book proposes, I have no idea. Just remember to take this book with a grain of salt.

The idea of a schedule seems like a good one, and feed, wake, sleep appears to be working, but minds more organized than mine have taken this on, so I'm fully admitting that I'm putting this down.

I also know that I'm frustrated with this book, probably because it has a lot of rules and appears inflexible. Thankfully, cooler heads prevail.

This book basically says the same stuff as the baby whisperer book, but it isn't as good.

I have found this book to be a valuable resource for everything I have needed to know about a newborn baby.
