I love Stephen King, he wrote some of my all-time favourites, but found this one to be a drag. Some of the writing made me cringe, especially the pointless bonk at the end.

A magical portal fantasy from the King of horror. This book feels like a modern epic, full of heart, peril, and a boy's love for his dog. A true fairy tale.
