I enjoyed most of it but started to drag toward the end of the second act and into the third. The ending was satisfying but I would've rated the book higher if not for the slow parts.

Pretty good

This book is pretty good. Stephen King, as always, is great with prose. The characters behave like humans and don't do anything just because the plot requires it. I thought the climax was a bit of a letdow, but not bad.

A wonderful take on the classic "a boy and his dog" genre. I adored the first part before Empis, and adored the Empis part (especially the race against time to save Radar), and felt the exact sort of sadness to be leaving the world that you want to feel at the end of a fairy tale. 

Also, LOVED how Charlie is definitely a gunslinger. Cannot believe how well fed I was by the Dark Tower crumbs in this book.
