Delivering a much simpler story than some what we've gotten from this series, Vol. 8 doesn't have a ton of deapth, but it's a fun read nonetheless. The fourth-wall breaking meta-narrative is as strong as ever, the ending sets up some very interesting developments for the future, and a single panel delivered one of my favorite meta-jokes that I've read in quite some time.

One of my favorites from the series! I especially loved the forth wall breaks in this one. I’m not usually a forth wall break person but the conversation about why Deadpool can’t ever have a true, honest connection with Spider-Man being based on continuity was so good. I also love being encouraged by the characters to skim boring fight cuts and lore drops ‘cause I’m going to do it anyway but love the self-aware bad fight writer.
