I Have No Mouth & I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison

I read this for the title because it sounded spooky.

I can understand why this was groundbreaking at the time, and I see what the author was attempting to say about the state of the world when this was written. Unfortunately, I hated this. The writing itself was mediocre and often extremely offensive. I found this literally painful to read. It was frankly disgusting. I was originally planning on reading the entire anthology but since I barely stomached this one, I've decided to change my review to the titular story exclusively.

A short story about an evil supercomputer who keeps 5 people Alice perpetually, out of hatred. A quick read, and not a pleasant one. Not my thing.

Terrifying. Very scary. Sci-fi spooks galore in a short time.
