I’m not sure why this book gets as much hate as it does. I enjoyed this book. Like all of Hoover’s work, it took me through an emotional journey and had me hooked from the first page.

An interesting concept, and I read through it relatively fast so it was something I enjoyed in a way. But the relationship dynamic was a bit disturbing- it felt like it romanticized and normalized behaviors and dynamics that shouldn't be. The twists and turns shocked me..

I love CoHo’s writing, always so good at character and plot development. The premise was really cool and loved the quick development of the story, you follow the same commitment as the characters. I loved the twist but ultimately felt it was convenient and a big too toxic love for me. Especially with where the characters were going.
