I thought the pacing of this book was really good and I liked the unique structure the author used. The plot twist was also perfection. Didn’t give it 5 stars because I felt the writing itself could’ve been better and the characters were a little boring but I would still recommend this book to anyone that is still chasing the high they got from reading The Silent Patient.

Loooved the big twist. Knew that something was up because the time line wasn’t making sense, but I didn’t expect what it actually was. I felt disappointed by the ending. I don’t like when the majority of the book is covering a one day period and then the last chapter or so wraps it up really fast. I also felt like there were a couple loose ends. Like why did Adam know the chapel so well? That was just thrown in there to make us question him but then was never explained. I think my main takeaway here is that all 3 characters were deeply flawed people. Honestly couldn’t root for any of them. Easy 4/5 until things went south for me at the end, so now 3.5/5.

I read this in one sitting because I was surprised by some of the twists and the story really went off the rails and I was totally there for it.
