my first Alice Feeney and she did not disappoint. I wasn't sure which book to start with however I knew Rock Paper Scissors was a favourite for many so when I saw the audiobook available on BookBeat, I decided to pick it up.

I loved the setting firstly; any thriller set in Scotland is a yes from me. it was dark, eery and creepy, which I thought added a great element to the story telling. I also loved the letter format throughout the story. It gave you just the right amount of information without telling you everything straight away. I also really enjoyed the dual POV, not really knowing who to trust.

Overall, I really enjoyed this thriller and it's now got me in the mood to read more! I definitely want to pick up more of Alice Feeney's work.

Kind of glad to get this one over with. The writing was great and I loved how dark the atmosphere was throughout the book. I liked the concept of one timeline being present day and one being the letters that “Amelia” wrote to Adam on each of their anniversaries. It was a bit slow until 3/4 of the way through, and I think the twist was a bit much at the end. I was hesitant towards the end because I kept thinking something awful was going to happen to the dog (nothing does).
slow-paced

It was good but hard to follow. Would recommend though
