First off, a bit about the characters. I love Eric and Aaron, I think it’s so cute they do all the things together and Aaron was so worried about Eric even-thought it wasn’t so bad with him. There finally is some action again, the safe feeling is gone, but it all still feels very reductive. We had the roamers attacks so many times that it is not really interesting anymore. But now everyone is getting involved again. It was crazy that they all got inside. I really thought a lot of people would die. But actually it wasn’t that many. I really like how they all stood up to protect each other and they see that they can do it.

This book is brilliant, I didn't see that ending coming at all. For fans of the series, I see this being the start of new era in the TWD universe. Great writing and the animation is beautiful as always. Good solid read

I never want to write a review after reading these books because it'll be all spoilers and me going, "holy shit! holy shit! holy shit!" I am amazed at how this series has sustained itself with compelling characters, ever advancing plot, and challenging ideas.

I wish graphic novels didn't read so fast, or take so much effort on the parts of the writers and artists to create. I WANT MORE ZOMBIES.

Our merry band (har har) is still within the walls of the compound, though things are literally and figuratively falling apart. This trade paperback installment sees a brief return to the gory, ax-wielding, gun-toting ways of the earlier books, but the exploration remains mostly internal. Lots of long (for a graphic novel) conversations between characters, especially Rick. The new cast of characters is rapidly starting to thin out, though, so I'm wondering how/when we'll meet some new people.
