There was a lot of trauma processing occurring throughout the book, but it all made sense at a pivotal moment. Pieces of the prophecy start falling into place as the timeline that leads to the Blood and Ash era comes together.

I liked this book, but it could’ve been shorter. The first half felt like it dragged on, but the second half moved much quicker. It was a fitting conclusion to the flesh and fire series with tie ins to the blood and ash series explaining the connection between the two series better.

Not going to lie, the first like quarter to half of this book was a bore. It was so slow and nothing was happening. And then it took a turn and was back to back information and twists and turns and intriguing. Overall I still liked the book and I still loved the characters, but the first portion easily could've been condensed to like 3 chapters tops. Can't wait to see how the next book of B&A goes and intertwines with F&F.

Really enjoyed this. A lot of questions were answered but I still have a lot of questions about the main series. I thought some aspects were rushed and I was hoping to see more of Sera and Nyktos as parents. Nyktos is a top tier shadow daddy and I love Nektas as well. Reaver is so precious and I loved his relationship with Sera. Overall a pretty good read!
