Genuinely the worst book in the series. Marking it at a 3 star is being kind, because I have loved Sera and Nyktos from the beginning…

This book was a whole lot of nothing.

WE DONT EVEN GET TO S E E THE THING THE ENTIRE FUCKING BOOK IS CENTRED AROUND

If she don’t pull this last book out of the bag I’m selling my entire collection

This took me forever to read and was my least favorite of the series. I wish it would have ended with the previous book. Like- the last two books could have been so easily condensed into one. I was also fairly irked at the modern vernacular used in dialogue in this ancient feeling story. I wanted to finish it so I could figured out some of the stuff that may happen in the last FBAA book but it was rough.

Why? Just why? What is going on? I love losing myself in a long series, but the whole beginning could have been severely cut down. It was missing all of the feeling behind the scenes. After the third one and this one, I have to admit I am a bit leary of reading more Armentrout books. Which is a damn shame cause it does have an epic story base, but what happened??
