I'm 350 pages into this book and literally nothing has happened. I've never been so bored in my LIFE reading a romantasy book.

The last half of this book is the only reason it's not 1 star
What. A. Disappointment.
I loved the first two books. Just like I loved the first two books of FBAA. I guess she doesn't know how to write a series.
This book was nothing but filler. Literally 200 pages were read, and only 1 day passed, and she never left her room. The conversations were an endless loop of the same thing being said while also having nothing to say.
The sex scenes were, dare I say it, too much. They were also just filler scenes. Every other chapter, the same thing over and over. The first two books there was build up. TENSION. The sex scenes meant something. Added emotion and built the relationship. That was thrown out the window. And Ashes dirty talk made me cringe.
Speaking of talking, the language in this book. It took me out of the book. There were too many modern slang and phrases. This is a fantasy world with sword fighting and magic and suits of armor. The language should reflect that. Calling someone a bitch is fine every now and then but literally was spat every other page. Fantasy worlds don't do this.
And what happened to Ash's character? He was cool, calm, collected and vulnerable and classy. That was thrown out the window. I felt like I was reading about a twenty year old frat boy.
And the unnecessary violence. Again, it added NOTHING. In the other books, the fight scenes were important to something. The first fight with Veses was so brutal and unnecessary. It didn't add anything to the story.
It was a two star book until the last 40%. But it almost dropped a star with the ending. After a whole chapter of them talking about their plans (boring and not needed), Kolis ended pretty quickly. And then Seras plan and acceptance of not being known...happened way to quickly.
The pacing in this book was awful. The banter was cringe. The sex scenes, gagging. I'm probably being too nice with the 3 star rating.

I am so disappointed in this ending. I was OBSESSED with the first 3 books and daddy nyktos, but this ending was shit. So much fluff and filler. Wish JA would’ve closed the timeline more between this series and FBAA. There was so much talk about the twins then we don’t even get to be there for the birth and happy ending! And I really can’t believe it ended with Callum’s POV speeding through centuries of events. I’m just…so bummed that this is how the series ended.
I am begging for another 4 books about nyktos and sera
I feel I need to reread Poppy's story for this to all click. But good story overall.
I love Sera and Nyktos and this was a beautiful end to this series! I cannot wait until the next FBAA book and what a way to tie everything together!
Holy cow so many questions answered! I love how this book brought the timeline of FBAA together and has me itching to get my hands on the final book of Poppy and Casteel's story. If I had one complaint, it would be that the sex scenes were a bit repetitive. I don't think there were too many, but rather they were mostly the same situations with the same action and dialogue. It almost became monotonous to read them by the end. But clearly that didn't really take away from my enjoyment of this book!

A good end of their story through we’ll see them again in the primal of blood and bone. You get all the feels, there’s a realistic healing journey which we love to see. It’s bitter sweet and lovely.
Writing wise the pacing was a little funky for me but still an enjoyable story.
