Not worth it. I would have been fine ending it at A Fire in the Flesh.

Pacing excruciatingly slow, all the previous annoyances remain, and now we get the addition of sudden, random knowledge dumps that accompany her new powers. I have better things to read in my life.

A slog. Nothing really happens for the first 65%, it's all massively confusing. Just not great.
3.25 stars, 4 chili peppers (I hate to say it, but there might actually be too many scenes/chapters devoted to it?). I’m so happy to know about why Sera is never known as the True Primal of Life and how Poppy is Sotoria reborn. But honestly, This book was sooooo long, it really could have been 300-400 pages shorter. The first 30% could have been 5% and The end was so abrupt, I was expecting more to it, and more about the sons and what happened with them not supposed to have kids. I still love Nyktos, and I really came to like Attes. I hope he comes back in the next FBAA book!

I’m invested, I can’t wait for the end of Poppy’s journey.
