I really loved this!! I liked the characters so much and Rielle’s story is everything!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the back and forth between Rielle and Eliana. The author did a great job of keeping both stories entertaining and always ending a chapter with me wanting to know more about each character's story. I give this a 4 out of 5. My only problem was some of the events that happened in the end were kinda bland in my opinion. The book has definitely peaked my interest in the series and I can't wait to read what comes next.

DID NOT FINISH: 25%

The book sounded so promising but it's trying too hard to be too many other books at once (ToG, Hunger Games, etc.). It doesn't feel like an original story. There's no world-building, the romance is lack-luster. Just overall disappointed :(

I loved this book and the amazing world Claire Legrand created. I was kept on the edge of my seat and did not anticipate any of the twists that were revealed. My one complaint, and it is not necessarily specific to this book, more as it is specific to the genre of “badass heroine who can do anything”: Eliana never sleeps, and when she does, it’s only for a short time before something external wakes her up or her racing mind. This happens a lot in these kinds of books and it doesn’t make any sense. How can the all-powerful heroine be at the top of her game all the time if she never sleeps? However, with this book at least, it can be explained by her rapid ability to heal, so I’ll go with that. I had a great time reading this story, I found it and its world fascinating, and I can’t wait to learn more.
