Not a favorite, but still very interesting. No clear single detective, but the solution is found by an antarctic explorer who didn't have as much personality as he should--all the personality went into the family members. Some of the period attitudes (50s) towards adoption and nature/nurture rubbed me wrong, but it's a good family portrait psychodrama murder.
-Good commentary on ableism (son-in-law of victim uses wheelchair after contracting polio).
-Some interesting things about xenophobia, mental health of children & teens, and using children as accessories.
-Killer isthe family nurse/assistant, Kirsty, who had begun a romance with an adult son of the family and become outraged by his mother's micromanagement of the younger generation.

Can I just start by saying that this is a terrible title? I mean, I get the connection to the content, but still. Anyways, fans of Murder on the Orient Express, and especially Crooked House will love this. Or if you like games like Clue! A whodunnit within what should be the safety of your own home. Clever and fun.
