Andrew Lincoln did a phenomenal job with this audio book! This was such fun to listen too. Highly recommend!
Short, informative and inclusive, this book is not too shabby. With some complicated vocabulary this book would be a great read to improve a young child’s language skills by being read to. The number of countries included and named in this book is much better than most of Rowling’s other works, so I was particularly excited to have Australia included, as well as the Maori (New Zealand’s indigenous population) being specifically named and seen as part of Wizard Culture. While the contents of the book were a little boring to someone who hasn’t done much research into ordinary Muggle sports, I mostly enjoyed the book for being a more inclusive work by such a polarising and morally wrong author.
Delightful audio and a fun foray into previously unexplored corners of the Wizarding World. I quite enjoyed myself.
Funny and creative history for the quidditch game. Though the team's names are quiet .. Meh?
Some may consider this cheating but I *listened* to this book rather than reading it and may I say I'm so glad I did. It was most entertaining, and so much more than I expected, complete with sound effects and separate actors voicing the different characters. I'm a fan of quidditch, naysayers and sport aficionados be damned, and this book was a wild ride through the favorite wizard pastime.
You know surprisingly I had a great time, it’s just so fun that this whole history was made! And the DA reference
i wasn't expecting to enjoy a book about a sport this much!!! Okay so it's a fictional sport but the detail that has gone into this book is impressive. An interesting and fun read! It's another exciting look in to wizarding world of Harry Potter.
