I really like the art but I don’t think that I’m so invested to continue reading…so i’m putting this series on dnf for now. Maybe someday I will continue it

After narrowly escaping her former life and the clutches of the usurper prince, Princess Yona and her loyal (?) guard Hak head to Hak's hometown to seek shelter and the guidance of Hak's adopted grandfather. After learning that Su-won intends to ascend the throne, Yona is faced with a choice - should she stay and hide among the Wind Tribe and hope for the best, or plunge into the unknown in search of a way home? With outside forces on the hunt for the princess, Yona and Hak will have to act fast if they hope to stay one step ahead of capture!

With the story slowly unfurling in front of us, I can start to see why this series has such long-standing appeal. We get a little more into Hak's background and upbringing here, as well as some background information and the complex politics of the realm and the tribes within. I can see the snaggles of a romance here and there were some tender moments between Hak and his devoted, reckless princess, which I hope will slowly continue to pepper the story as we go forward. We end on a bit of a cliffhanger (lol) and I think this will generally be a little bit of a slower series, but I'm invested now and ready for a long trek across the kingdom!
