I swear that Carroll, once again, must've been on lsd when he wrote the second instalment of Alice's adventures, but my goodness it's so fab! Not that I condone drugs, mind! Haha! It's just so bizarrely amusing!

Read aloud to H - it was wacky. It is supposed to be wacky, and H loved parts of it and tuned out in others.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was better...I think. It wasn’t bad either, but my main problem was the hungarian translation. Maybe I will read it again in English or a different translation/edition.

Chaos, dziwactwa i brak kompletnego sensu- it’s what I live for.
Through the Looking Glass was filled with the whimsy and humour that the first Alice story contained. The main difference was that there was a plot, albeit a very small one. Basically, Alice goes through the Looking Glass and becomes involved in a game of chess where she is a pawn. Alice must go through the world to get to the other end of the chessboard and become a queen.
I loved Alice and all of the characters that Lewis brought to life. The poems, songs and stories told within this story were as whimsical and far-fetched as the rest of the book.
I absolutely love this fantastical world that Lewis has created.

I still love this book and loved all the new things that I saw this read through. The world follows different rules and it really shows us exactly how amazing and wonderful and scary and disorientating that is.
