Ok, this shit was weird, and I LOVED it.

Very disappointing follow up to such a wonderful book. Through the Looking Glass lacked all the charm and even what little plot I enjoyed in Wonderland. Sometimes authors should just leave well enough alone.

*snores*

So much more of an acid trip than [b:Alice's Adventures in Wonderland|6324090|Alice's Adventures in Wonderland |Lewis Carroll|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1351737117s/6324090.jpg|2933712], this story was less satisfying and more fragmented, if one can believe it, than its predecessor.

Not sure I've ever actually read this before, but figured on the heels of Wonderland I might as well.

Much more confusing than Wonderland and I think it would have a harder time keeping a kid's attention although we do have the Tweedle's in this one.

A lot more poems/songs this time around but most also make a little more sense. Which makes this book as backwards as its premise: prose tough, poetry easy vs. Wonderland where the poetry is tough and the prose is easy!

Not as good as the first but still relatively enjoyable

A diferencia del primero, disfruté más este. Me gustó mucho la ambientación y los personajes. Pero, no me termina de gustar del todo la historia de Alicia.

To be honest, I didn't like Through the Looking Glass as much as I liked Alice's Adventures in Wonderland save for one scene in particular. This is when Tweedledee and Tweedledum tell the story of The Walrus and the Carpenter. I don't know why I like this the most, but oh well.

Alice's Adventures was a series of absurd vignettes with no true plot, and although the Looking Glass still has its absurdities, I found that I would much rather not have had the plot. The plot was to move Alice through the outdoor chessboard and become a queen herself along with the White Queen and the Red Queen. Although every square has it's own vignette, I thought that none of them were different enough from one another.

This book was not as good as the first. I think the development of the world was not as good and overall the world was not as interesting. I still enjoyed the book but I didn't feel as involved in the world. In this case the movie won over the book, especially the ending because it was much better in the movie. I didn't find the characters as interesting in this book either, they were rather bland and boring. The only chapter that I really enjoyed was the one that described the insects that were all formed in odd ways. Ok book but would much rather read book one rather than this one.
