A story of a deeply flawed man

I enjoyed this diet. I felt great pity for Mark - he held onto his anger for 15 years. In many ways, he was addicted to his rage. Mark and Whitney were such a complicated pair. While I’m glad they had a happy ending, I wish we’d seen more of their journey back to each other. I particularly would have liked to see Mark working on himself - not because he wanted to win Whitney back, but because he wanted to be a better man.
I loved the hints about other character’s stories - looking forward to reading them.

2.5 stars. As if all the issues in my review for the first book didn’t already apply. This book made it even worse with that rushed and out of no where ending. Honestly. I am just glad I finished the book at this point.

I love Skyler as an author but the story was just not my cup of tea. 2 star because I like the author and the dislike is my fault.

The book felt rushed.
Only 100 pages— that’s not nearly enough to resolve the pain the author so excellently described. I could feel Mark’s pain, but at the same couldn’t help but hate him for all the Toxic ways he mistreated Whitney.
It was supposed to be a story about change in two people and their relationship. The change happened, but it wasn’t nearly enough DESCRIPTION of HOW it happened.
Whitney seems like she decided to give another go after f Mark and hoping that he changed….. Yes, she sometimes stands her ground now and can withstand his manipulation— but that’s it? What else has changed between them? In Whitney in particular? What’s up with Marks’s toxic masculinity, emotional abuse and guilt tripping?
So yeah, 100 pages wasn’t nearly enough.

Loved the first book, second was ok, minus 1 star as it was a bit too short.
Do any of you have similar books in mind? Would love some recommendations.

Just as the titel says, this books leads to the forgiveness part of the duet. The MMC regrets it alot and wants a second chance.

I wish I would have waited to read book 1 until book 2 was out…. I think it takes away from the telling and made this book seemed rushed at the end for
The hea. The H grovels for most of this book… but he had 15 years of cheating to Atone for. It’s hard to
Wrap Your brain around the fact that he was so
In love with his wife yet cheated soooo much. I haven’t read purity so am not privy to how much these characters show up In the sons book.
