This book is crazy crazy crazy dark. But if you can work through the trigger warnings and the first 1/3 of the book you should be alright. That sounds like I didn't like this book but I did. I liked it less than the first one but they're such different plots that it's hard to compare. The first one was more of a mystery and this one was more of an action crime piece.

PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS. there is R*pe (not between the main characters) and descriptions of human trafficking. The author does include a list at the beginning of the book.

It is very well written and an interesting book but please be aware. I can handle most things in books, but in this one I did find myself having to skim the pages of some scenes because there was a lot of detail.
