Wow. Yep just wow. While this book is much darker, there is beauty to it. The horrors that Addy endured, the pain Zade goes through. All the darkness they both deal with as they are reunited.

I loved how Addy not just survives her personal hell, but with the help of Zade and Sibby, becomes even stronger. How she and Zade becomes flip side of the same twisted coin. Yin & Yang. The dark God and his dark Queen.

My low review isn't because of the themes of this book. I read all the warnings before jumping in so I knew what I was getting myself into.

Although, it was a difficult read, I enjoyed the book until it reached the middle, the story changed completely and was going at a super slow pace, which made me lose interest honestly.

At the end, I rushed it just to finish the book. I skipped some scenes, even some spicy scenes just because it was redundant.

I do have to say that I did love Haunting Adeline and would read it again but unfortunately Hunting Adeline will not be in my read again list.

Deeply disturbing, felt like there was more “dark” than “romance”. The first half (Addie and trafficking and SA etc) was too traumatizing and sick to read through. And then the romance aspect with zade was just not my scene; his whole God complex was so ickyyyy and the smut was not it. I knew it’d have triggering content, so I was prepared, this is just not my kind of book

It was so painful to read at the start. H.D Carlton really described everything so good it was so sad to read. And how she felt afterwards as well. Zade is such an angel. I lovet he 180 tho and the ENDING. Like yeah pop off get her gurl honestly Fransesca should've died a worse death just sayin...
