By 2011 the author should have known that g***y is not an appropriate costume. Ruined what would otherwise have been a cute story.

Illustrations are cartoonish and colorful but juvenile. Cute story but what's most appealing about the story is the character's resilience, problem-solving, and creativity in arriving at the right costume.
