I have been a huge fan of this series from the get-go. And while I'm sad that it will be coming to its conclusion soon, I can't wait to see what else this fantastic author team has in store for me. I've fallen in love with these fantastic, fictitious characters.

On to Wes and Winnie. When this Bad Boy Billionaire showed up on my kindle, I may have squeed a little. Okay, a lot. And I absolutely adored all the other books, but this one just wasn't my favorite. It didn't have the LOL moments like the other books and was a tad more serious. Not knocking it, it just wasn't at all what I was expecting and had begun to anticipate from Max and Monroe.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much enjoyed the book. But Georgia and Kline and Thatch and Cassie so thoroughly weaved themselves inside me, that Wes and Winnie had big shoes to fill and they just didn't quite measure up. Then again, I don't think anyone could ever measure up to Thatch.

I'm anxiously awaiting and at the same time dreading the final novella in this series, set to release in November. I don't want to let these characters go.

Wes Lancaster is our last billionaire and I was pretty disappointed with his story. Wes and Winnie made appearances throughout the other books so we know he is a perpetually late, stoic billionaire and she is a single mom who works all the time. I was really excited for their story, being that this is the third book in the series I was already invested in their characters. However, Wes' character never reached the likability that Kline and Thatch had. His self doubt that penetrated most of the book was highly unattractive. And Winnie's hesitance to include him in her and her daughter's lives bore a similar effect. The story really fell flat at the end. The HEA was, frankly, boring. However, I am giving this book three stars because the scenes involving Georgie, Kline, Cassie, and Thatch were very enjoyable.

Couldn't give this one 5 stars. I feel horrible! Maybe I just didn't connect that much with this one like I did the others.

Wes and Winnie are the cutest! I LOVED the Winslow brothers, so getting to read Winnie’s love story was so great. She’s a fiery, smart, single mother, and everything Wes didn’t think he could handle. Obviously love has other plans and when he finally gets over himself, they are just the sweetest. They definitely have a spicy side to their relationship too. Overall such a good continuation of the series!

The playboys always fall the hardest

I have loved this series, and definitely recommend reading in order or you will miss all the details about the other characters as well as the lead-in to Wes and Winnie’s relationship. Wes had zero intention of a relationship, particularly with someone who had a child, but he was inexplicably obsessed with Winnie. He also found himself increasingly more jealous of his friends who have found their HEA. Winnie is the team doctor and single mom extraordinaire to a little girl on the spectrum, who also happens to be an adorable genius. Wes falls hard for her daughter, and she falls right back for him. There’s a boat load of instalust,

4.5 stars.

Listened to this on audiobook. It was narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell who are great narrators and I always enjoy their narration.

I loved this so much. Winnie and Wes were so wonderful together. I adored Lexie and her connection to Wes. It was so cute.

My only complaint was that after the initial 2 sexy time scenes there was a huge chunk of time where they were together and having sexy times but it wasn't on page. It was just briefly mentioned.

I'm very curious to how I'm going to like Nick's book. (3rd in the St. Luke's series/trilogy) I'm not a fan of his, even though
Spoilerhe's appearing to step up a bit or at least saying he's going to step up and be a dad/dad-ish figure to Lexie but that doesn't make up for the 6/7 years previously where he's absent. And even though he says that, we still don't see him...he's not even mentioned in the short novella that's after this one.
So it'll be interesting to see how often he's around Lexie at all in his book.

This was a super quick listen/read and I couldn't put it down. Loved it.

I've become such a sucker for single parent romances in the past year, it's always such a treat to read one for me.
I also cannot believe I'm already almost done with this series, I still have the last novella but then it's over. I've come to love Max Monroe and their books. They're all so charmingly funny and adorable with sexy guys and amazing gals.

Scoring the billionaire was a book I was very excited to get to because I've become intrigued by the characters when they were mentioned in previous books and novellas. I was a little disappointed though, the first half of this book wasn't interesting enough for me and the characters didn't live up to the hype. I also didn't connect with their relationship as much and felt like it all was just a little weird.

Winnie was probably my least favorite of the girls just because she didn't wow me and I didn't connect to her like I did with Benny and Cassie. Especially Cassie was my favorite and Winnie just felt a little abandoned in my eyes.
With that said, I still found Winnie to be very inteligent, funny, relatable and sweet, she was such a hard-working woman and I liked her.
I loved her daughter Lexi so much. She was my favorite little human and I was obsessed with her. She was the smartest most adorable girl and I loved every single scene she was in.

Wes was a bit of a let down for me. He wasn't as funny as Kline and Thatch and I didn't really get to know much about him. I loved how much he cared for Lexi but he really pissed me of when he acted like a coward and backed out from Winnie and Lexi.
I felt like his reasoning was absolute bullshit and I didn't like it at all. I understand that it was a lot for him but he was doing so well with both Winnie and Lexi. His doubts could have been cleared by a single conversation, which was also an issue. Wes and Winnie didn't talk. They never shared their honest opinions and emotions and that was so irritating.

The end was a bit underwhelming too, I wanted more grovelling and better reconciliation.
But I adored that we got to see Cassie and Thatch have their baby Ace. That made me really happy because I think we didn't get to see enough of the other couples in this book.

But overall the book got much better after the first half, I started enjoying the relationship and the characters, after Wes got his shit together I even rooted for him and the ending was good. We didn't get an engagement but I think that decision was suitable for their story. I hope to see one in the novella and I think I'll enjoy that one quite a bit.

4.5 stars. Oh Wes! You silly man. I loved his growth in this book. I think out of all the men in this series he showed the most growth and understanding what he really wanted out of his life. I don’t know what I loved more watching him fall in love with Winnie or her daughter Lexi. Winnie also grew and had strength and resilience! She was a badass. Honestly that 3rd act breakup I wanted to slap Wes across the face but the grand gesture and proving himself to Winnie and Alex was everything. And as ALWAYS I loved that we got all of friends in this book as well. Might be my favorite thing of this series! And those Winslow brothers!

Loved the story, but...

Overall, I really loved the story and the characters, especially Lexi and the way Wes was with her. I do think it could have been shorter (too much detail in some places and it took way too long for Wes and Winnie to give into their feeling). Also, the last chapter seemed as if it was written by someone else. It was weird.
