This was going to be a solid 4 stars but then he started a full figure skating routine during a hockey game - who does he think he is??? Jeff Skinner???

It's hockey season, and I was in the mood for a cute hockey romance. I knew this was a YA hockey romance, so I expected it to be a bit cringey at times, but I still really enjoyed it. I love how the book sets up the future books to follow the Darling siblings. The next book is hinted to be a grumpy-sunshine childhood friends-to-lovers trope, and I honestly can't wait to read it.

Overall it was a really easy and lighthearted book to read, it made me giggle like a highschool girl. The first part of the book was like i said above but then in like the last few chapters...girl the main character pissed me off.

LIKE WHY DO YOU BELIEVE YOUR GODDAMN EX WHO CHEATED ON YOU. LIKE GIRL THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED IF YOU COMMUNICATED WITH REED. But no she had to believe her ex. And omg then you finally came to get your guy back at his hockey game, he started preforming a figure skating routine and blowed you a kiss INFRONT OF HECK IDK ALL OF THE PEOPLE OF BOTH TOWNS.
Im being so fr that gave me the ick it was so embarrassing

Anyways it was still a cute read. It is a really slow slow burn but im eating that up, especially that the guy fell first and then fell even harder it was really cute.

This book received a 5 star rating from me because it had me kicking my feet giggling like a school girl the whole time. His feelings for her that were immediate, I love a he falls first and falls harder trope. It’s so unbelievably good and happy feelings.
