This is another second-chance romance that has revived the trope for me! Typically, I steer clear of second-chance, but Katy Birchall is such a lovely writer that I went into it with an open heart and am so glad I did. It having a dash of enemy-to-lovers definitely went a long way in aiding the second-chance aspect.
Most times I begrudge having to read "flashback" chapters, but these were utilized sparingly and were brief interludes to the present-day chapters. I found them to be well done and didn't groan in anticipation of facing them when I turned the page.
I love it when I adore characters in a book and I adored the two main characters, Harper and Ryan. My other favorite facet of this novel was Harper's job. I was pleased that her passion for her work was a main focus of the story and it was very interesting to read about.

One of my favorite narrators was performing on this audiobook. I immediately knew I had to listen. As I say in most of my reviews, I am not a rom com girl. But more and more of them seem to trickle onto my recommendation list. I recommend this one! Katy Birchall is a cheerful and high-spirited author.
It's giving first crush butterflies. I loved all of the characters. Harper was funny, charismatic and a mess.. but in a good way. I think minor swearing. I can't remember. Mild sexual content.

This was such a cute one! I loved the celebrity journalist element. I also enjoyed the dual timelines going back and forth between present day & 10 years ago with Harper & Ryan. The banter back & forth between them was so funny. Also, the whole taxi scene and lead up to that was heartwarming & funny. While I did enjoy this for the most part, I had a love/hate relationship with Harper. She infuriated me a bit with how stubborn she was sometimes. I did love how she stood up for herself against her family, Cosmo, & Liam. I am here for the female empowerment of it all. I love that she was career driven and makes no apologies for it. I also found it a little hard to believe that Ryan & her would have a happily ever after. Just because they were such opposites & clearly drove each other crazy most of the time because of that. I still enjoyed & highly recommend this one.
