im all for second chance romance but she just got back together with a bad ex and should we really applaud that?
she pushed aside her whole life for him and it took her forever to say anything and it was so annoying. plus i didn't even really feel their connection because they got back together fairly early on and the spice in the relationship was introduced fairly quickly.
overall not a bad book just not impressed with the characters

Reading a romance about a couple with poor communication skills and lack of boundaries is so painful. Also the male main character obsessing over the female main chair as being his “good luck charm” is just ick.

I’m going to be honest I really disliked Ethan. His personality just wasn’t that attractive and he couldn’t take no for an answer (like if Lilah needs to study in peace because she’s failing her class then let her study - this annoyed me so much, especially as a student). I feel like they praised the bare minimum so much that it made me realize how low the standards were in this book.

It was a light read and I probably wouldn’t read it again, but I’m glad I read it once.

The first half was pretty boring. The second half was more interesting with a lot more happening. Overall I think both of them are unhealthy together.

Ugh this wasn't good. Ethan and Lilah were just blah. And some of the hockey references weren't how someone who follows hockey would talk, which as a huge NHL fan, really bugged me.

I don't want to call this a spinoff of the Pucked series-yes, it has the amazing Helena writing in it and yes, it has an incredible, beefcake hockey player as the hero and yes, it is all kinds of hot and steamy...
BUT
where I'd say Pucked had me ROTFLOL between the hot and sexy scenes, Good Luck Charm was full of heart and angst - not quite as much as her Clipped Wings series, but enough to pack an emotional punch.
Helena has shown her capability to stretch her romantic writing from the seriously funny to the downright serious and GLC fits right in the middle of that line. So if you like both of her other series, you should love this book!

It's not easy to trust again when the one you love has not only run away with our trust, but bruised and broken your very soul. How do you open up your heart again when you lost the key?
Patience, persistence, time and a little tenaciousness never hurt in finding what was lost.
In this second chance romance, Lilah (Delilah/DJ) Smith was shattered when Ethan Kase chose hockey over her. She never once thought of putting anything above him and knew he was headed for the NHL, but when he left her and never came back, never once contacting her in all the years he was gone, she eventually gave up and moved on.
Years have passed and unfortunately her marriage hasn't worked out either. In the midst of divorce, the one person she never thought she'd see again, Ethan Kase, is back in town and she isn't exactly happy to see him now that her life is in shambles.
Ethan has stayed away knowing that Lilah moved on, but now that she's free he has the opportunity to win her back, he only has one thing in the way again, his career. Which will he choose this time around?
