Thoroughly enjoyed certain scenes, but I was hampered by not remembering the back story fully from the other books in the series. This book felt uneven in pace somehow, and didn't totally gel for me.

The tension between Rowland and his beloved was exquisite. Pymm's motivations for his pursuit of the heroine however were not quite believable. overall, a very satisfying read.
